Allan Richard Hoegg was born March 16, 1947 to Robert W. Hoegg and Ida M. Hoegg of Hazelton, PA. He graduated with the Hazleton High School Class of 1965 (Luzerne Co. Pa). He received an appointment to the US Naval Academy in 1966. He left the Academy in 1967 and was later graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy. He married Elizabeth Mary Varenda on October 2, 2001 at the Transfiguration R.C Church in West Hazelton, PA. Allan was employed by the Hazelton City Fire Department.
Allan was residing in Elkton, MD when he passed away at home, on January 24, 2001. He was 53 years old. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 pm on February 3, 2001, at the 1st Presbyterian Church, Hazleton, PA. Allan was laid to rest in the Calvary Cemetery in Hazelton, PA. Donations may be made to the Northern Chesapeake Hospice or the Cecil County Public Library.
